EDa360 – Mie Scattering Camera

The aiq360 Mie scattering chamber consists of 40 individual EDa247 line-scan cameras, each featuring 1024 pixels with a spatial resolution of 7 µm. The cameras are arranged in a radial geometry, enabling angularly resolved detection of scattered light.

No optical components are installed in front of the line-scan cameras. As a result, the scattered light is captured directly, without distortion or modification, preserving the original scattering information. The scattering chamber is equipped with two light-beam input ports, allowing two incident light beams to be introduced orthogonally to each other. The input ports are compatible with the 30 mm cage system, ensuring straightforward integration into standard optical setups.

The scattering chamber has been specifically developed for two key applications:

  • Spectroscopy of complex particles using Mie scattering
  • Interfacial layer analysis in multilayer liquid jets
