During the DFO Neuss/ Deutsche Forschungsgesellschaft für Oberflächenbehandlung e.V. Tagung / Praxisforum Automobil- und Kunststofflackierung on 28–29 April 2026 by FANUC, we had the possibility to present the basic idea of how our technology SprayQuantAI® can be applied for spray paint monitor. In particular, this includes sprays from nozzles of IWATA, SATA, Krautzberger and WAGNER. These are all used in the painting processes.
Flexible Adaptation of SprayQuantAI® Measurement Heads to Different Nozzle Types
Using dedicated adapters, our SprayQuantAI® measurement head can be adapted to different types of spray nozzles and automatic spray guns. This flexible mounting concept allows an easy and fast installation without dismounting the nozzle.
A key advantage of this approach is the compact design of the measurement head. Its width is smaller than the nozzle assembly, which makes the system suitable for integration into existing spray setups with limited installation space. The optical connection is realized using isolated optical fibers, enabling a robust and flexible connection between the measurement head and the evaluation unit.
The 45° positioning of the measurement head provides practical advantages for different spray configurations. It allows measurements both parallel and perpendicular to the spray axis, depending on the application and the available installation space.
